Lotofagi
Lotofagi (Λωτοφάγοι, literally, lotus eaters), in Greek mythology, a peaceful tribe that feeds on the fruits of the lotus. They lived on the northern coast of Africa, in Libya and on the island of Meninx. Homer in the IX song of the Odyssey tells about them that they ate lotus flowers, which bestowed oblivion on those who ate them.

This myth is based on a common fairy tale motif of eating magical food, plunging a person into oblivion of his past: troubles, illnesses and failures are left behind.
In Egypt, the lotus was associated with the ideas of fertility and productive power, death and resurrection. The lotus flower was associated with the Nile and the sun; and also served as a throne for the supreme deities and therefore often symbolized immortality. Having tasted the lotus, the companions of Odysseus wanted to stay forever on the island of bliss. Lotus is an ancient symbol of life. In Egypt, the hieroglyph "lotus" meant joy and satisfaction. In this case, one can understand how great was the desire to settle permanently on this blissful island. I suggest you go to this magical island and leave the hustle and bustle for a while and taste the magical lotuses.
